Tommy Hilfiger Men’s Nathan Blue Stripe Two-Button Trim-Fit Suit

By  |

Tommy Hilfiger is best known for their high-quality, upscale clothing. The lifestyle brand was founded by a man named (you guessed it) Tommy Hilfiger who was born in Elmira, New York. Hilfiger was the second of nine children and he once attended school for machine shop trades before becoming a designer, venturing into the retail work at the age of 18.

Tommy Hilfiger: Making Moves

He was often known to travel to New York City to purchase jeans that he would then customize and resell at a local Elmira retailer. Success in this venture led him to eventually open his first store, named The People’s Place in downtown Elmira. The store went bankrupt after just 7 years (after it was damaged in a large flood that resulted from Hurricane Agnes in 1972).

After the destruction of The People’s Place, Hilfiger began to focus on design. He moved to New York City with his wife and was offered a position as a design assistant at Calvin Klein and Perry Ellis. He turned down the position and instead founded the Tommy Hilfiger Corporation which went public in 1992. The line’s signature design was a collection of menswear. The brand saw continuous success and was purchased in March 2010 by Phillips-Van Heusen, owner of Calvin Klein, for roughly $3 billion dollars.

Focus: The Tommy Hilfiger Nathan Blue Stripe Trim-Fit Suit

The Tommy Hilfiger Men’s Nathan Blue Stripe Two-Button Trim-Fit Suit is a culmination of years of classic Tommy Hilfiger designs. The suit has a subtle pinstripe design that makes it suitable for professional or personal use. It is made of 100 percent wool and is imported. The suit should be dry cleaned only to maintain its colour and structural integrity. The pinstripe design highlights the trim fit of the suit and the 2-button jacket lies flat for a high-end appearance.

The jacket features a notched collar and a welted chest pocket. Side flap pockets are included for convenience and side vents allow for maximum mobility. The suit extends to just below the top of the pants, which are designed with a flat-front and a French fly. The back pockets are jetted and the legs have unfinished hems. Tailoring will be required before wearing. The pant waist measurement is equal to the jacket size, minus 6 inches.

The Tommy Hilfiger Men’s Nathan Blue Stripe Two-Button Trim-Fit Suit is the perfect choice for weddings and other formal events as well as wearing to the office. The suit is priced affordably and is a great alternative to solid-colour black and navy designs. The material is heavy-weight and will last for years to come. The slim fit style of the suit is very trendy and is the preferred style of celebrities, athletes and TV personalities.

This easy to wear suit has a classic appeal that looks great on men of all ages. The piece makes an excellent addition to any wardrobe and the simple pinstripe design is one of the most versatile in the men’s fashion world. This suit should be paired with a dress shirt, a tie and dark coloured shoes. Belt loops are included on the pants for convenience. Check out the suit here!
